Our Institution
Founded in Rome in 1972, Casa Della Finanza has grown from a modest private bank into one of Italy's most respected financial institutions — faithful always to the values of its founders.
Our Mission
— Conte Adriano di Monteleone, Founder, 1972
Casa Della Finanza was established upon the conviction that private banking must rest on three enduring pillars: unconditional fidelity to the client, rigorous financial discipline, and the cultivation of long-term relationships built not upon contract, but upon trust. These principles as relevant today as in 1972 continue to animate every decision made within our institution.
From our first offices on Via Veneto, Rome, we have expanded across Italy and into European capital markets, always remaining a family institution at heart: measured, discreet, and unwavering in our commitment to excellence.
Our Values
Every client relationship is built upon absolute confidence and the solemn duty of confidentiality.
Sound judgement, ethical conduct, and transparent dealings form the bedrock of our institution.
We accept nothing short of the highest standard in counsel, service, and financial stewardship.
We take a long view protecting capital across generations rather than chasing the fashions of the day.
Our Story
Conte Adriano di Monteleone founds the bank at Via Veneto, Rome, with a mandate to serve the private wealth of noble families and merchant houses of the Lazio region.
The second branch opens in Milan's financial quarter, extending our services to northern Italy's industrial and mercantile community at the height of the Belle Époque.
Following the Second World War, the bank reconstitutes under the second generation of the Monteleone family, playing a pivotal role in Italy's economic reconstruction.
Banca Imperiale lists on the Milan Stock Exchange, enabling expansion of capital and the introduction of asset management and securities services.
With Italy's entry into the European single market, correspondent relationships with Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, and Barclays establish cross-border services.
The bank celebrates 40 years with its centenary volume, a gala at Palazzo Barberini, and the launch of the BII Foundation for arts patronage.
With 86 branches, €48 billion in assets under management, and 340,000 clients across Italy and Europe, Casa Della Finanza stands as a monument to enduring tradition.
